Tefera (Tim) Chewaka is the founding member and managing principal of CMA Group, LLC (CMA). Tim has over twenty five years of broad-based experience in public accounting, management consulting and corporate finance. As the Managing Principal he is responsible for setting the firm’s overall strategic vision and delivering our client best value. CMA has upheld its reputation for being a trusted partner for its clients in finding solutions for their challenges. Tim is responsible for upholding the core values of the firm to its clients and the employees who serve the clients. His experience includes audit and consulting services for federal agencies, state and local governments, school district, housing authorities, energy trading companies, architectural and engineering firms, universities, airline industry, talent acquisition companies, private service providers, and nonprofit organizations. For the last five years, he has also managed Information System audits for couple of top tier cities in the US, and a State University as part of their financial audits. His professional accomplishments include a special review of procurement system (total value of $4 billion) for a federal agency and federal contract management and financial compliance for a government contractor with annual contract value of $36 million.
Tim is a visionary leader who listens to clients and find the best solution for their business challenges. He is a proven leader with deep insight and uncanny ability to mobilize staff team with right skills to execute small to large complex projects.
He’s organized and knows his priorities putting his family, employees, and clients first. Beyond CMA, he spends his time with his wife and two sons, participating in his kids sporting and other outdoor activities. He actively participates in volunteering for his community and religious organizations.
